My students are emerging readers and beginning to develop a more robust and abstract math sense. Some are learning remotely, some are in my classroom, and all of them are working so hard! To meet all their needs, I need more tools in my remote teaching toolbox!
My Project
I teach a class of 1st grade English language learners. Half of my class is attending in-person and half will be joining us remotely. Large manipulates for displaying via the document camera and big, magnetic diagrams will make it easier for students to see the lesson via Zoom and as they sit in a socially distanced classroom.
Simultaneously teaching online and in-person students is a challenge!
During and after each lesson, students need to clearly see and practice the things we learn together. They can no longer share materials in stations or tables, so I'd love to present each student with a set of white boards and manipulatives to use at their isolated desks or in their homes.
