Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Teaching students how to create a budget, is part of their curriculum. However, we need the tools to do the job.

The students need paper to create their budget, they need a calculator to use when the calculations become challenging and a timer to keep them on pace.

We will begin our project by grouping students by their choice in career. Next we will research how much that job pays in one year. Next the students will use the calculator to figure out how much that person working in that job will take home every two weeks. Now they will document their biweekly take home pay then think of the necessary items they would purchase until they are scheduled to be paid again. The timer will be set to keep the students on task and not off schedule.
