My Project

In our classroom, we believe that learning should be hands-on, engaging, and tailored to the unique needs of every student. Experiential learning—where students actively explore, create, and apply knowledge—allows students to engage deeply with the material and develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaborative skills. To make this type of learning more effective, we need a variety of essential tools that will support our creative projects, foster organization, and enhance the learning environment.

By providing binders and pencils, we can create an organized, engaging, and focused classroom that encourages active participation and a deeper connection to the content.

Experiential learning has been proven to increase student engagement, retention, and overall academic performance. When students are given the opportunity to apply knowledge in real-world scenarios, it deepens their understanding and helps them develop skills that extend beyond the classroom. Tools like pens, binders, and headphones are not just classroom necessities—they are key to fostering an environment where students can focus, stay organized, and actively engage in their learning journey. These will be especially beneficial during our Lunar New Year unit and celebration!

Ms. Covan Horizon Science Academy - Youngstwn Grades 6-8
