Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My school is unique because it offers students the opportunity to learn in two languages, English AND Spanish. Specifically, students are not only learning Spanish, they are also learning grade level content in Spanish.

Learning grade level content in a language that is not your home language is quite demanding, and having an iPad to access vivid images and videos, and various learning platforms, will enhance the level of comprehensible input.

Students can feel frustrated when they lack the language necessary to understand a lesson. But when students are able to see real images about a topic and experience a phenomenon through a video, they are better able to understand the content that is being expressed in a new language.

Having ink for the classroom printer will be useful because it will allow us to print out images, photos of student work, and student projects, especially in color!
