My Project

My students are in Pre-K through grade 5 and are excited to do mathematics. They’re always eager to explore new topics and are more engaged when they use manipulatives. We need more items for our math classroom, especially tools which enable them to build concrete representations of the problems they are solving.

I am requesting a variety of tools that my upper grade and lower grade students can use to show and understand the problems they are solving.

The rekenreks will enable the lower grade students to learn their addition and subtraction facts within 20, and the tiles and cubes will assist in the understanding of area and volume in the upper grades. My students are also in need of calculators that they can use to play partner games to strengthen their mental math skills.
