Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school demographic population is comprised of 97.6% Hispanic students and 98.8% of our students receive free or reduced price lunch. Most of our students are academically challenged, but are very passionate about athletics.

These students come to school daily and give 110% of effort in order to maintain the 2.0 required GPA in order to participate in athletics.

My students are very eager and enthusiastic about fitness and competitive sports.

We are a low-income Title I school and are very limited on resources and funding.

My Project

My Track and Field team need graphic sack packs, team duffle bags, stopwatch, whistles, and Value Star Medals.

The sack packs and duffel bags will help the team stay organized and uniform during competitions and meets.

These items will also facilitate and ease team travel. The whistles and stopwatches will facilitate team practices and drills. This will keep the students engaged and focused on during team practices and drills.

The medals will boost their self-esteem and confidence as a means to promote a continued active and healthy lifestyle through participation in sports.

These students cannot afford to purchase these well needed items due to their socioeconomic status. Your donations will go towards promoting and encouraging the participation in sports.

Research shows that students that participate in sports develop and learn so many vital life skills.
