Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This classroom audio library will help give my physically and visually impaired students the ability to "see" their books and offer more hands on choices for their learning, offering them more independence and more autonomy of their learning. My students often do not have they ability to physically hold and touch their choices. We are often left trying to guess their choices based on eye gaze.

Tonie Boxes offer my visually impaired and physically impaired students the option of holding and grabbing their choice, creating a sense of autonomy in their learning.

This start up library of 2 boxes, and several stories/song will also help work on communication goals, and task completion goals by giving them the chance to communicate a choice, and complete 1-3 step tasks.
