My Students

First grade is such an important and fun year! Students are developing rapidly before our eyes. It's hard to believe the children who enter our classroom in September are the same ones that leave us in June.

Our students are energetic, active, and curious.

They love being challenged, and given interesting and unique activities to work on. Our school is a high need school with a large Special Education population. In our classroom, there are 22 individual students, with various talents and abilities. We are constantly working to adapt our curriculum to meet the needs of both our special education students and general education students.

My Project

Teaching is a time consuming job. Our days are constantly filled with activity! Some days it feels like we are on-the-go nonstop. In order for each day to run smoothly, ensuring certain conveniences is a must. One of these necessities is the ability to print and copy paper resources immediately. Students benefit greatly from being able to have in hand any needed graphic organizers, charts, printed reminders, checklists, or visual representations. As a special education teacher, it is also imperative that I am able to print our students' Individualized Education Plans and all supporting materials so we may refer to them, provide them to families, and track progress.

Your donations will ensure months of smooth printing and copying ability for our classroom.

While we do have a school copier for big jobs, your donations will give us the freedom to plan our lessons and supporting materials at our convenience. We teach our students to "use their time wisely," and as a teacher, there is not a minute to spare. Thank you!
