My Students

Aside from teaching, communicating with families is one of the most important things a teacher has to do. Unfortunately, the school's Xerox machine is not always functioning properly. This can cause great delays in our ability to get out information and in having the materials necessary to a lesson.

Our first grade Integrated Co-Teaching classroom is full of kind, intelligent, motivated boys and girls!

Of these 29 students, 40% of them are Special Education students with Individualized Education Plans (IEP), receiving various services such as Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Counseling, and SETSS. Our students come from a variety of backgrounds with varying degrees of resources and support at home. My co teacher and I really enjoy teaching such a varied group of students because we have found that each child has something great to offer our classroom community.

My Project

These 4 toner cartridges will help us relay important and ever-changing information to keep parents apprised. The toner will also help us to print out additional paper materials immediately without having to wait for a school aide to do it. "Oh no, we are 3 short on tonight's homework!" "Teacher, I didn't get a reading log!" "I have a meeting with a parent and I need an extra copy of this IEP." All of these issues can be easily and quickly solved right in our classroom with the toner cartridges we hope to receive. Getting the 3-in-1 printer last year was such a huge help, now we just need to maintain our ability to use it!

Your donations will make a difference by alleviating some of the stress and strain that can result from depending on machines for materials.

Having the ability to immediately print out a few needed items is extremely helpful to the everyday management of our classroom.
