Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Give this project a boost!
A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
My school is a Title I school, meaning a majority of our students rely on free or reduced-price lunch. Even through hardships my students may face, they are filled with the joy and determination to learn.
My students are inquisitive about the world around them, and I want to continue to encourage their hunger for learning!
My students are always quick to greet visitors with a firm handshake and share what they are learning. The love and sense of community they build with one another throughout the year always amazes me.
My Project
These multicultural books will teach my students tolerance, empathy, and compassion.
As a Kindergarten teacher, I have the privilege of being one of the first resources and influences on a child's view of the world and others; therefore my room needs to be equipped for positive impact!
Having these multicultural books in my classroom will provide my students with honest and helpful tools to teach them about themselves and others. These books will also build their character and help us build classroom community. These will be lifelong skills that they can take to the real world.
I KNOW my students have the capacity to help make this world a better place. Let's make that happen!
