Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project is to help the families in my school. I started a pantry four years ago and toiletries are one of the most requested items. With the funding I currently receive, I can't always toiletries.
I hope to give my students and their families the items they need to be able to come into school calm and clean and ready to learn.
The parents regularly ask for soap and shampoo. It would help the parents too since it will be one less expense for them and they can focus on caring for the children and paying bills I can't help with.
My students are wonderful young people. They work hard to succeed. They might struggle with leaning. They also might struggle with social interaction due to lack hygiene.
