This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Three years ago, I started a school-based food pantry in order to support my students and their families. The most requested items are toiletries.
With the funding I have to stock the shelves, toiletries are the one thing I have trouble getting.
With your help, my students can come to school and their families can go to work feeling confident and refreshed.
The pantry serves about 20 families a week. The family sizes range from single parent with 1 child to 2 parents and 4 children. I would love to be able to send toothpaste for both kids and adults, shampoo for kids and adults, body soap, and toothbrushes home at least once a month.
