My Project

We are still seeing the impact that the pandemic has had on our elementary students. It's easy to recognize academic learning loss, however, the area of greatest need is social-emotional growth, including social skills, self-regulating emotions, and peer interactions. All children need to learn how to work together, communicate effectively, and build empathy.

For most of our students, school is their only time to socialize and play with children their own age!

As teachers, we can facilitate meaningful discussions & create situations to improve social-emotional learning, but our students need time to practice these skills on their own to navigate social situations fairly. Your donation will help us provide opportunities for our 3rd graders to play together, learn how to collaborate, make friendships, and feel like an important member of our school community!
