This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My third grade students have an immense passion for reading; however, the books in our classroom are outdated, falling apart, and not very aligned to my students' interests. I have learned about the books and series my students really enjoy and I am hoping to be able to add them to our classroom library. Many of the books in this project are series my students are interested in, such as Geronimo Stilton and Katie Kazoo.

When children find a book or a series they enjoy reading, their minds begin to make constant connections to other books, themselves, or the world.

I am looking to spark my students' creative sides and provide them with relatable characters that can guide them to change the world! I would love for my students to discover one book in a series that they will not be able to stop until they read them all!
