This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
We are a small school tucked in the heart of Jacksonville, Florida, and deserve to shine. I’d like to provide for these students the best that I can. Our school motto is “expect success, nothing less” and I am here to help my student know what that means!
My Project
Hello!
This complete library will give my classroom the reading resources they need.
My classroom is currently using a few old books and whatever else get's donated for the time being. A new library will give these students book bins and brand new books, organized by learning level.
This new library will support their literary function, help students learn about books, it will provide a central location for classroom reading resources, provide opportunities for curricular extensions and independent reading, as well as serving as a space for the students to talk and reflect.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
