Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This school year, I have the opportunity to work with the most beautiful group of children alongside my co-teacher and paraprofessional. Our students are curious, motivated, and brave individuals. They arrive at school each day with a positive attitude and ready to take on the day! Mostly, they're just so excited to be learning in person, being able to interact with their teachers and one another face to face.

My Project

Our students truly have a love for reading and love digging into a good book! But, we need your help! Currently, in our second grade co-teaching classroom, students have a small selection of series books to choose from. By adding these series books to our library (for example: Katie Woo, Pedro, Cam Jamsen), students will be able to dive deeper into character studies with books they're really interested in! This much needed additions to our library will be a celebration of literacy in our classroom community. Thank you for helping our students become lifelong readers!
