My Students

I am a co-teacher in an inclusion classroom of 16 very eager learners. They are "beautiful" students in every aspect of the word. Although their socio-economic backgrounds define them as high poverty, crime saddled urban setting, our students still love to read and learn. They love to question. They love to explore everything. The world, in my students' vision, is still a very kind, amusing, funny, and amazing world. Their smiles are contagious. Their hugs are given freely with no demand other than a bigger hug from their teachers!

"A great classroom is not just about learning, it is about creating memories." It is with this in mind that as their classroom teacher, I wish for a learning environment steeped in structure and organization yet, warm and engaging.

A learning environment that would give us more time to create lasting memories of great lessons and creative adventures!

My Project

Having a neat and organized classroom saves valuable learning time. The new bookshelves will improve the classroom appearance and management by allocating learning materials to its own shelves and/or bins. Our current classroom is a project in progress as we divvy up resources housed in various containers to our students. Having two teachers and 16 students share limited space provide a challenge in creative space solutions.

Smart organization leads to effective classroom management.

The more we invest in viable classroom storage solutions, the more time we free up to invest fully in our students' learning. Of course, a neat classroom inspires us all!
