My Project

I love seeing students thrive in a place where they feel safe, have fun, and want to learn. I am so excited to be moving to Transitional Kindergarten for the 2023-2024 school year and providing an engaging and exciting environment for my 4-5 year old students! In TK, students will learn through play and socialization - these tools will provide lots of opportunities to do just that.

Problem solving, compromising, taking turns, working with others - these are just a few of the skills that I hope students in my TK classroom will learn and practice every day.

This project will put the finishing touches on what we need for our classroom to be perfect. Furniture that will allow students easy access to books and math tools is a must (especially because it also provides a cozy place to enjoy a book!). Odds and ends like play dough, colored pencils, numbered dice, golf tees, crayons, disposable cups and shipping labels will help make sure our classroom is fully stocked for fine motor and craft activities. Carpet markers will help students with management and of course a sensory wall will help students who need to find a calm place to regroup.

Play is such an important part of learning, especially for 4 - 5 year olds. I am excited to provide a classroom where purposeful play will lead to powerful learning opportunities.
