My Students

Teaching Transitional Kindergarten is hard enough! Integrating technology will engage and motivate our young students and get them ready to venture into kindergarten AND first grade!

Our school is one of the first in our area that includes students of all abilities in a single classroom.

Students who develop typically, students with special needs and students who are gifted learn side-by-side, with each other and from each other. All of our students are resilient individuals who, despite their differences, make our school a welcoming and fun community.

My Project

Transitional Kindergarten is a great way to get our kiddos ready to take off into the wonderful world of kindergarten. My students need an iPad mini. Integrating an iPad mini into lessons will allow the students to engage in lessons in ways that a computer or a teacher cannot. They will be able to build their fine motor development by manipulating the iPad and to perfect their writing skills with various handwriting applications. The TK students will be able to develop their listen skills with online and uploaded stories and build their early math skills with amazingly fun math applications. The best part? Everyone can play, everyone can have a turn and everyone can learn from it!

The Transitional Kindergarten students need an iPad to ease their way into kindergarten with some fun and motivational learning games and activities to play with their peers.

The iPad will last us many more transitional kindergartners to come!
