Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our Transitional Kindergarten (TK) classroom, dramatic play is more than just fun — it is an essential tool for developing social-emotional skills, language, and problem-solving abilities.

With costumes, my students can step into different roles, from doctors and firefighters to chefs and astronauts.

These outfits will help bring their ideas to life, fostering creativity while also encouraging teamwork, communication, and confidence. Through role-playing, they will strengthen their vocabulary, practice storytelling, and build important foundational skills for future learning.

My goal for this project is to create a dynamic and engaging environment where students can explore different professions and express themselves in meaningful ways. These costumes will not only spark their imaginations but also support their social development, helping them learn how to cooperate, share, and take on new perspectives.

What makes my students special is their enthusiasm for learning and their boundless creativity. Many of them are experiencing structured learning for the first time, and dramatic play gives them the opportunity to develop key social and academic skills in a way that feels natural and exciting.
