Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Give this project a boost!
A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
There is a diverse group of student from multiple countries and speak many languages. As a duel-immersion Spanish K-8, many students are bilingual, refugees and lots of resources are needed to help students succeed. There is a lot of support in language, writing and reading yet there's still a need in art and technology.
The students' rich resource of diversity brings a unique perspective in our elective choices of music, art and technology.
These students are enthusiastic, interested in learning both art and technology.
My Project
These light tables will give students immediate engagement into tracing drawings, creating frame by frame animation and developing ideas in design and art. Light tables are an essential tool in being able to create animation, and teaching the basic principles of animation before they make the leap into computer based animation and design.
There are a ton of projects that can benefit from being able to trace complex drawings and re-draw students own sketches so they can refine their designs using a light table.
Having taught digital art in high school I look forward to bridging students from elementary and middle school to secondary art and digital design.
