Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school is a Title 1 public elementary located in Koreatown that is mostly made up of low-income first-generation Latinx students. Culminating from 5th grade means so much to both my students and their families because it reminds them of all their hard work and what the future will hold for them as well. All of our students deserve to be recognized and honored for their efforts for the past 5+ years. This will continue to encourage them to strive for higher education for them since it will remind them of their first transition in their educational trajectory.
