My Students

My students are sponges! Each member of my class wants to success and grow and learn. Every student at our school engages, explores, evaluates, explain, and elaborates in Math, Science, Reading, and Writing everyday.

Every student should have equal access to technology and learning tools.

At our school, we serve a high poverty population where many of our students struggle with obtaining basic school supplies. They often arrive without paper, pencils, pens or other basic school needs. We believe that all kids should be entitled to every opportunity in science, technology, math, and engineering. My students are excited and motivated to learn.

My Project

We are a school that serves high poverty students of all ability levels. My students come to school needing everything from breakfast, to school supplies to attention. They all want to be successful and be noticed by their peers and me. My high achievers want me to challenge them and keep them invested in their learning while my students working at a lower level want my support.

My desire is to have equality for all students at their own learning level.

These requested Asus Chromebooks will allow me to differentiate the instruction of all my students. I can have my students who are working below grade level listen to reading selections online that are tailored for their reading ability while keeping with the same themes and stories as their peers who are reading on grade level and above. At the same time, my higher achieving students can use the Chromebooks to extend their learning.

All of my students will be able to use the Chromebooks for writing. They will be able to type their work and get feedback online from me in a much shorter period of time than doing it paper pencil. This will also allow them to make corrections and improve their skills quicker than if they were turning in a handwritten paper.

The Pearington tablet/laptop charging cart will power and store the computers.
