Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Kindergarten students adore the time when they are being read to. Read-alouds in the classroom offer several benefits, including: boosting vocabulary acquisition, improving comprehension, enhancing listening skills, building fluency, fostering a classroom community, promoting imagination, and providing exposure to different writing styles through a teacher's expressive reading, all while helping students engage with the story and develop a love for reading.

Having more seasonal books will help my students make connections to what is happening in real life in the world around them.

I am hopeful these will boost student engagement and inspire them to read more books on their own.
