Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am just one teacher who is part of a hardworking school community in New York.

Our school serves close to 500 students, about half of whom are English Language Learners and/or special education students.

My students at this project-based school are from all over the globe: Bangladesh, Dominican Republic, Togo, Senegal, and beyond! We work hard every day not only to master algebra and geometry, but also to become masters of the English language.

My Project

With a second monitor, I will be able to more easily manage my 100+ remote learning students. I am beyond tired of jumping from tab to tab, minimizing my zoom tab to share my screen (and not being able to watch students' faces for understanding).

It would be a dream to be able to see my students while simultaneously sharing my screen.

To be able to see my students while they see what I am doing on Desmos would be so amazing! I can watch their faces while I demonstrate different properties of geometry. My out-of-date iPad does not serve as a reliable sidecar, and it constantly loses connection with my MacBook. I need a reliable monitor to make this happen. Please consider donating
