My students range from 3-5 years old and are able to qualify for our preschool by either having a developmental delay or being low income. This program gives children from all cultures, areas, abilities and various incomes an opportunity to learn and thrive within the district. My energetic preschoolers enter the classroom ready to learn, discover, and explore. They love being exposed to so many different experiences and opportunities and gleam with pride and excitement at learning new skills. They are an amazing group of kids!
My Project
Our students love being able to paint, draw, and create at our art center. Since most art supplies are consumables—we can go through materials very quickly. Some of our more popular items—Pom poms, playdoh, and paint get used up very quickly. I would love to purchase classroom-sized packs of some of their favorite art supplies to make sure that they have these materials accessible all year. These materials are so good for helping them express themselves creatively and also in fine motor development. We use our art materials all day, every day from center time to working on therapy skills.
