This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a pre-kindergarten teacher, one of my greatest joys is inspiring my students to explore, imagine, and express themselves. This year, I am excited to introduce the world of photography to our youngest learners, encouraging them to view and analyze their surroundings through the lens of a camera—all from the comfort of our classroom.

This hands-on photography project will allow my students to foster their creativity, sharpen their perception skills, and engage with their environment in a meaningful way.

Through photography, they will not only capture the world around them, but also develop essential problem-solving, observation, and collaboration skills. As they learn the basics of photography, they will have the opportunity to express their daily experiences, thoughts, and imaginations, which will help to nurture their fine motor skills and confidence.

I am reaching out with a heartfelt request for your support in bringing this project to life. We need donations to provide a small set of child-friendly digital cameras, photo printing paper, and other essential supplies. Your generous contribution will give these young children the tools they need to express themselves creatively, explore their world, and share their unique perspectives.

By supporting this project, you will help our pre-kindergarten children develop a sense of accomplishment and pride, while also allowing their peers, families, and the wider school community to experience the world through their eyes.
