My Students

As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school, my students faced several challenges both in and out of the classroom. All of my students have been identified with special needs such as autism, developmentally delayed, intellectual disabilities, language impairment and deaf and hard of hearing. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking for the best classroom tools to provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.

My early childhood special education students are very creative and full of energy.

They like to observe, play and explore new materials. A typical day in our class is based on learning through play. From the minute they walk in the door of my classroom I focus on their potential and growth. I am hoping to inspire even our earliest learners to continue on a path of academic excellence.

My Project

Due to the crisis we are living in now, we will be starting our school year through virtual learning. This is the reason why I would like to be prepared and have the best technology available to help my students. Either through distance learning or in person once the schools open again. If I get this tablet I would like to teach my students how to use new applications, websites, and online classroom assignments, etc.

This new project will not only allow me to stay in touch with my students and their families, but it will also make a great difference in the hands of my students.

We will be reviewing the classroom content and curriculum with the children and their families. Thank you very much for your support.
