Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are an eclectic mix of bright minds. They all come from different boroughs of NYC and some are even new learners of English. One common theme that unites these diverse learners is their thirst for innovation. It is my hope that they can put this perspective to good use in our STEM class.

STEM is a very important field of study that helps students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

It increases science literacy while developing the next generation of innovators. Having these Tinker Lab kit materials in the classroom will help them build the necessary skills to think creatively and out of the box. They will create products and processes that will hopefully help the future of our economy.

The goal is to use these STEM kits to get students to practice putting their ideas into actual unit models that can solve basic challenges.
