My Students

STEM is a new course offered to our students. The classes have doubled in size since the development of the course started last spring. Seeing my students' eyes light up when they are able to discover new ways to integrate technology into their world, is one of the best feelings as a technology teacher. When teaching middle school students it is easy to see that some students are self motivated to learn, but a vast majority of students need encouragement and strive with hands-on material that will relate to their world. With the use of Code Car, students will have the opportunity to explore and improve their coding skills which can increase logical and critical thinking.

My Project

Students will use the software and guided lessons that come with a Code Car. The Code Car lessons will provide the students with an opportunity to develop stronger computer science skills. Students will be encouraged to advance their coding skills after completing the guided lessons and create new projects for classmates to use on the Code Car. Given the chance to produce their own project using Code Car, students will apply their coding skills to become the project leader and education their peers. When students are given the chance to explore the world of technology there are endless possibilities to gain knowledge.
