Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a teacher of an amazing group of special needs 1st graders and they need multiple tools to help them learn skills in numbers, counting, letters, phonics, and reading.

For my students, the old school 'the teacher talks, the student listens' is not how they learn.

They learn by exploring, discovering, touching, playing, singing, and moving. The games that I have selected will help to make learning hands-on, concrete, and most of all fun! Students will break into small groups and with staff modeling and prompting, students will explore, laugh, play, and learn!
