My students are hungry to learn in many different ways. Most of them are just starting their educational path and have had the opportunity, to experience diversity in our world. They come from lower income families who have not had the same opportunities as their peers.
"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." That is exactly what these children can do, change the world.
These kids have passion, drive and determination to be the best they can be, but lack the resources to promote this on a daily basis.
My Project
These resources will allow my students the opportunity to learn about tolerance in the world around them. Time Magazine for Kids helps students by introducing current events and diverse cultures through interactive lessons and differentiated assessments. The iPad will allow me as a teacher to adjust my instruction based on the learning needs of my students. It will allow the incorporation of technology in differentiating how I present the content to them.
It is "Time" to make a change in their lives.
Due to their low income status they do not have access to resources like this at home. Let's give them the opportunity to explore! The opportunity to experience life through the innocent eyes of a child! Let's making learning FUN again.
