Mini iPads are expanding the learning experience both inside and outside the classroom. From interactive lessons to study aids to productivity tools, there's an app for every learner. I want my students to be able to practice, review and retain the skills I have taught in lesson using the iPad.
I have 25 energetic, spunky, amazing third graders.
We are located in a small, rural area by a reservation. We welcome a wide range of Native American and Hispanic students. Seventy percent of our students qualify and receive free and reduced lunch. We love and embrace diversity. I am fortunate to work with students who love to learn and want to be at school. I love being a teacher and enjoy how much I learn from each of my students.
My Project
My students need a mini iPad and Otter Box to use in literacy and math centers to enhance concepts previously taught. School leaders say it's not just a cool toy, but rather a powerful, versatile tool that is virtually changing the face of education. Mini iPads have become a very common type of classroom technology. They are popping up in classrooms all over the US and students fall in love with them almost instantly. We all know today's generation absolutely adores technology in the classroom and how it really gets them more engaged. With engaging layouts, interactive images, 3D graphics, and more, is one device students won't want to put down. Mini iPads inspire creativity and hands-on learning with features you won't receive with any other tool.
I need to create learning literacy and math centers that will enable the students to work independently at their level while I work with small groups reteaching and enriching.
I know there are lots of meaningful and educational apps that will help the children achieve their individual goals. This is my first Donors Choose project and I look forward to giving my students materials that our district cannot afford.
