My Project

I teach two groups of student at my school. One group of 36 fifth graders and another group of 25 sixth graders. My students are bright, funny, and love learning most when it means something to them.

The opportunity to have a TIME For Kids weekly magazine, printed and given to every student will allow them opportunity to apply non-fiction literary skills to topics that are happening in their world now.

They will be able to assert opinions, cite sources, expand their thinking and perspectives. Together we will discuss and use these to talk about real world issues that keep learning interactive and applicable to our everyday lives!
