My Students

Do you know a great way to hook reluctant readers and help kids keep up on current events? We do! It's called Time for Kids!

Over 80% of our students come from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Many of these children don't have access to the selection of reading materials that children from more affluent families take for granted. Our children have a great hunger for knowledge, but often lack the materials to fulfill this appetite.

My Project

We would like to integrate Time for Kids Magazine into our classroom as a way to teach literacy through current events. With Time for Kids, we will be able to do shared readings, hold class discussions and create new and interesting lessons that will help prepare our students not only for their fourth grade examinations but for their future education careers! My students need a classroom subscription to Time for Kids!
