My Students

The students at my school are amazing. I know you probably hear or read this a lot, but seriously, my students are phenomenal. They attend a K-12 public school in the middle of New York City and are always ready to learn!

Our students are creative, innovative, and full of life, but this is only part of what makes them so phenomenal.

They are eager to learn not only their subjects in school, but they also want to know more about the world around them.

My Project

There is no better feeling then when a student finds a book they love to read! One of my favorite things to do as a teacher is to help my students rediscover their love of reading. With this project I am hoping to stack our shelves with more new releases for students to choose from.

We allow time for free reading in close to every class.

It's our hope that by doing this our students will find books that they love to read. More and more books are coming out that I think my students will love. Even better are the ones also being turned in to graphic novels--this is truly a way to reach all learners!
