Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Three years. It has been three years since the pandemic has altered the lives of so many in the world. We have all had to adjust to a new way of thinking, living and growing with one another. But, it is the student age population that has really struggled with the growth part.

Middle school students have really been hit hard with the changes the pandemic has laid upon us, many of our students have struggled to adapt to being socially distance, coming back to school after being socially distance, loss of loved ones, amongst other areas of their life.

The equipment we are requesting will allow the students to use the tech they already have available which is a smart phone. The items on this project will allow the students to have more creativity documentary, while using tools that are more portable and easier to afford if they wanted to try and get their own. For example, the wireless mic will allow for students to use their phones to capture better audio, while the tripods allow for them to be in front of the camera while interviewing friends, family and classmates.

The goal with this project is to help the students look back at their life and chronicle the impact it had on them and those around them. This is meant to be a therapy, a healthy way of expressing how they felt through all of this. With your donations, you could make this endeavor a reality.
