I work with the most best special need students. Their needs all vary from being autistic, visual impaired, and other health impairments. They each process sensory information in different ways and have unique interest and strengths.
The benefits of providing students with the sensory tubs and task boxes are endless.
The sensory tubs will help them to explore their senses of textures, sight, sound, smell. They will be able to practice cognitive task and build their fine motor skills all while increasing their socialization with peers. From pretending to be at a construction site, the beach, a pond, in outer space, at a race track, to exploring the weather. Then, I'll be able to purchase activities on Teacher Pay Teachers to create them into task boxes for each individual student.
