My Project

Currently, the capacity of my school's budget has been limited, and non-core subjects materials like backpacks, school supplies, hygiene products, and uniforms, are paid for out-of-pocket. I take an active role in my students' lives and also facilitate our teachers' needs. I teach and visit classrooms daily and give presentations that build character and educate the students about hygiene, core values, and social behavior.

A great number of my students are ELL/ESOL whose families immigrated from Haiti and other islands and relocated to South Florida.

More than half of my students have no access to basic commodities in their households, including school supplies and uniforms.

Almost every day, I have to try to accommodate a child who came to school out of a uniform because they just migrated from an impoverished or devastated island or their parents cannot afford to purchase what is needed for school.

Unfortunately, due to limited funding, I am running out of ways to provide uniforms and am seeking your donations so that I can have 12 pairs of long pants to distribute and assist these students who are in dire need of uniforms.
