Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my classroom, I believe every student deserves the chance to succeed, regardless of their learning challenges. That's why I am seeking your support to enhance our behavior management and academic support systems for high-school students with learning disabilities.

All students deserve the tools and supports to access grade-level content, no matter their background or disability.

Ticket-Based Behavior Management: To encourage positive behavior and engagement, I am introducing a ticket-based system. Students earn tickets for demonstrating positive behaviors such as perseverance, cooperation, and responsibility. These tickets can be redeemed for rewards, offering tangible recognition for their efforts and progress.

Fair Access to Grade-Level STEM Content: Every student deserves the chance to engage with grade-level STEM content. I am committed to ensuring that students with learning disabilities have the resources and support they need to access and excel in STEM subjects, which are critical for their academic and future career success.

Impact of Positive Reinforcement: Many students with learning disabilities struggle with low self-esteem. Positive reinforcement through our ticket-based system and other supportive measures plays a crucial role in building their confidence and self-worth. By recognizing and rewarding their achievements, we help these students see their own potential, which is essential for their overall growth and success.

Your donations will directly fund these vital initiatives, enabling me to implement effective behavior management strategies, provide equitable access to STEM education, and foster a supportive environment where positive reinforcement can significantly impact students’ self-esteem and academic performance.
