My Project

The realities of our underfunded urban District means that my 8th graders in Algebra 1 do not have access to handheld graphers. This teacher pack will be a big step towards creating a full class set of Ti-Nspires, enabling my 8th graders to learn how to use this powerful handheld device to visualize the Algebra they are learning, and catapult their graphing skills for the future!

With handheld graphers, the algebra comes alive; students can quickly and easily visualize the graphs of equations they are learning to manipulate and solve.

Plus, the earlier students learn how to use a handheld grapher, the better; these devices are extremely powerful for standardized testing! I currently have 11 Nspires for 33 students, so this Teacher Pack will enable me to have students work in pairs instead of trios, which will make a huge difference.
