Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am so lucky to spend my days with 25 of the most curious, kind, gregarious, and inspiring first graders I've ever known. They enter my classroom wide-eyed and eager to learn every day. With such a motivated group of learners, my days are so fun and rewarding as a teacher.

My students do not let obstacles stand in their way.

Our school is over 90% free/reduced lunch receiving students, but their attitudes would never give you any indication of that. My students do not let such things define them; they are hard workers, inquisitive thinkers, and tenacious learners. Our school works tirelessly to strive for greatness, and I aim to embody this ideal in my classroom every day. I keep high expectations for my students, and they still manage to surprise me with their incredible achievements every lesson.

All children are deserving of a world-class education, and my students are no exception. Quality school supplies to enable and enhance their learning can be great financial hardships for my students' families. This is why I am asking for your help.

My Project

I had the special opportunity to see the Qball in action at a teaching conference I recently attended. This thing is AMAZING! It is a microphone inside of a squishy ball. My students will be able to throw the microphone ball around during lessons and share time. Not only is the ball fun to throw around in class, but it is useful since all students will be heard through the microphone and speaker.

This Qball will give ALL students in my classroom a voice!

Students will be easily heard with this fun microphone system. Even my most quiet students will be able to speak into this microphone and have their ideas, answers, and opinions heard by everyone in the room! The Qball is also very engaging. Kids will love throwing the ball around the room, which will help student motivation to answer questions and work problems out loud using the microphone. Win-win!

I teach a majority of ESL learners. Because of this, language speaking practice is INCREDIBLY important for students' growth and development of English. Please help me bring FUN and MOTIVATION into my classroom by supporting my students with the Qball microphone!
