Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"Let's look closely at the world around us" is what I say to my students - whether it's during reading, science or any other subject. There is a need in our school for more hands-on teaching, but there are few materials and for my young students it is imperative to have hands-on experiences.

I want to spark the minds of my young students and go beyond the usual science lesson, but I do not have the science tools to do it.

I'm a kindergarten teacher in New York and I like to teach using a hands-on approach. The school consists of many low-income families, ELL students and students with special needs. I've found a hands-on approach is the most beneficial way for them to learn. These hands-on experiences will help to capture a love of science in these young minds and allow them to look more closely at the world around them.

My Project

My class is in need of a microscope and some slides so they can actually look more closely at the things around them. These science tools will help my students learn to look beyond what they see and discover new and exciting things in our world. It will help create our future scientists.

Your help will enable my students to experience the world of science in a whole new way.

It will give them an opportunity to see things in a different light. The children will begin to ask questions and start thinking more critically about the world around them. Your help now could be the start for future cures of diseases. Help me get those young minds awakened to make the impossible - POSSIBLE!
