My Project

My students come from diverse backgrounds at a rural Title I school. Providing students with fun and engaging learning centers with flexible seating, given by the stadium seats and lap desks, will help combat learning loss from COVID-19. Students will be able to collaborate while playing games to enhance their social and math skills. These tools create independent learning where students can practice their skills successfully. Therefore, this will allow me to be a more efficient teacher by having small groups to work with while students work independently. This allows for differentiation, which is crucial to combating learning loss.

I want my students to love learning new math skills and to feel confident in their abilities.

The math manipulative items such as the clocks, dice, dominos, flashcards, math games, color counters and math fidgets will help my 3rd graders with hands on learning.

The play-doh and fun erasers will be used as incentives and as calming aids to help start their mornings both excited to be here and relaxed and ready to learn.

The students, and I both appreciate when our classroom is neat and organized, so we can work in a relaxing atmosphere, and to focus on our learning goals and objectives! The paper organizers will be to organize our items for guided reading, small group reading, independent reading, and small groups. The index card holder will be for my students to be able to find the word they are looking for and when they need help spelling.
