In the heart of downtown, my school has a small but extraordinary population of wonderful children. My second-grade students are from all over Miami coming from diverse backgrounds.
My loving students enjoy being challenged and working together as a team given different opportunities to show their knowledge.
My second-grade students exhibit pride in making choices for themselves and being able to exceed expectations daily!
Due to being exposed to diversity in the classroom at a young age, these children show empathy towards one another and practice kindness at any given moment with their classmates and teachers. They are caring, creative, and independent second graders!
My Project
The materials I am requesting will help me organize my classroom. My students are very keen to keeping their areas neat and tidy, as I have always told them "For every minute spent organizing, an hour is earned".
Having an organized learning environment will assist in smooth transitions throughout our day while also helping students practice skills that allow them to use resources efficiently and effectively.
Bins will be used for excess supplies where labels will help easily locate what students need. Cooperative learning groups will be able to use spinning trays for shared materials. Organized environments early on will help children set and meet their goals all while practicing leadership skills within team-building activities.
