Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These amazing stories will inspire my young writers! These are 11 carefully, chosen stories by well-known children's authors. These books share examples of beginning writes overcoming common problems, such as, coming up with new ideas, getting stuck, and what the writing process looks like. The students will then use the journals, that have primary lines appropriate to their developmental abilities, to begin their rough drafts, and write down their ideas.

These books will support my classroom by creating a foundation of love for working and persevering through the writing process, and then allowing my students a place to start their stories in the journals.

I can not wait to share these visuals and stories to help my students understand writing is never one and done, and that it is a way to express themselves to the world.
