My Students

Our classroom consists of 8 students with ASD, or Autism Spectrum Disorder. This means that our students experience significant developmental delays in communication skills, social-emotional skills, self-regulation skills, and general life skills. Many of them are non-verbal, and many of them experience the challenges of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and Anxiety in addition to Autism. Despite these challenges our students face, this brave group of kids let their unique personalities show each and every day.

I truly believe that my students touch the lives of every person that meets them; they are living examples of the power of hope and perseverance.

Although many of my students are unable to communicate in conventional ways, they let their personalities shine through with the use of technologies such as communication devices. My students are the greatest teachers, as they help me to learn more about myself and how I can change lives for the better! With your help, we can help these students to reach their fullest potential as the unique individuals they are!

My Project

With your donation, my students will have the opportunity of a lifetime; to host their very own news broadcast for the school, and eventually the world, to see. My dream is to be able to have my students see themselves as leaders, despite the challenges they face each day. To be role models for other students just like them would truly be a gift of hope for students of differing abilities.

When students see kids just like them fulfilling their dreams, it gives them hope that they can do the same, no matter what challenges they may be faced with.

With your help in obtaining a digital camera, a lighting kit, and a green screen, I will be able to transform my students into leaders and role models for students of all abilities!
