My Students

I currently work with second-grade students, 1:1 for reading, which can mean close contact in order to properly support their needs.

With that being said, we know this year is going to look different for all of us and I'm sure we're all entering with much hesitation and trepidation.

We all want to make sure our students feel welcomed and safe. In order to assure the safety of ourselves and our students, we need the proper materials to make it happen. There is never enough protection to be sure we can continue to keep everything sanitized. At the same time, we want to keep the reading fun, exciting and endless. These books with put smiles on their faces!

My students come from a very high poverty background and my goal is to provide them with all of the means necessary to be successful, safe and worry about one less thing.

My Project

The world we have come into is nothing short of scary and unimaginable, but that can't stop us from making our learning environments as safe and comfortable as we can for our students.

These materials will help students keep their own supplies for individual use only, while the cleaning supplies will help me keep them safe.

The worry throughout this year will be continuous, and I want to try to ease as much of that worry as I can for students and parents. Adding in some enjoyable books throughout the day will add to the light at the end of the tunnel.

During these unprecedented times, education is something our students need and look forward to. Whether it be remote or in person, they look to us for that security. All of these supplies will help provide that.
