Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My third graders are eager and curious learners. Their desire to explore and understand different concepts gives me so much joy as their teacher. My students come from different backgrounds and experience different challenges and qualities of life. I believe this makes them special because they bring different perspectives and thought processes to the class community. With the learning tools such as the math resources, magnets, and rocks, students will have access to learning tools that they might not have access to in general. The other materials such as the organization bins and bulletin materials will help create a calm and focused learning environment for students (especially as some students don't have a safe space outside of school).This will enhance their learning experience as well. With these resources, students will learn about number values, dimensions of objects measured (area, perimeter, volume). Students will analyze and identify the physical attributes (properties) of various objects. Students will also have access to social emotional learning.
