My Project

I am exceedingly proud and privileged to be a Dance teacher at our school located in Brooklyn, NYC. This extremely exceptional Title One school serves close to 1,500 children in Grades K-8.

Our school community embraces Cultural Diversity!

As writer Sarita Dan describes: The beauty of NYC is its melting pot character...Regardless of where you eat, shop, walk, live & breathe, NYC means coming into contact with people from all over the world all the time." Our school embodies this rich and wonderful expression of diversity which is the heart and soul of of NYC.

Through our Dance as a Performing Art program, we seek to introduce and give students the opportunity to experience the beauty and significance of multicultural and multinational culture through the medium of Dance. Currently, our Upper-Grade students are studying Irish Dance in honor of Irish Heritage Month.

Our class is working on a lively, fun, and funny dance presentation called "Shamrock Beat". We plan to perform this Dance as a Class in our upcoming March 2024 School Concert. The kids are very excited and looking forward to Their performance! They would be thrilled to be wearing these festive outfits which represent the national colors of Ireland on this special day!

Your donation will offer our class the incentive to take the stage with the sense of pride, exhilaration, and accomplishment that their collaborative work deserves.
